trying something new here for some GM points maybe expand it to interviewing other GMs in the future, but lets just see how it goes for now.

Reporter: So the First round of drafting has been completed, how do you feel the first round went for your team?
jbaker: I feel it went just ok. Our first pick of Brendan Gaunce we feel was a good pick, we were hoping to pick up Dossa in that pick but Gaunce is a nice big center with a full body at 205lbs allowing us to focus on improving his offensive skills. with our 2nd first rounder we were so so close to getting Ayesh Marshall-Baker who was our prime target with that pick so that was unfortunate, BUT Dansk is a great goalie prospect as well so we were happy to get him and we will most likely put him as our underager next season to help his development in becoming Miller's future replacement.
Reporter: Lets take a moment to discuss your great young player in Joel Armia, how do you feel about his development?
jbaker: We are really happy to see how well Armia has developed. Getting him in the Stamkos trade was important as we felt strong about his potential at the time and we didn't want to lose Stamkos if Armia wasn't in the trade. This coming Season we are likely going to have him play on our 1st line as his offensive ability right now is something we are really needing more of.
Reporter: Speaking of that, what does it say about your franchise having your 19 year old player on your first line?
jbaker: Well its no secret that we are lacking in offensive firepower. The retirement of St.Louis really hurt us as he was a key piece to our lineup, but we have to move on. We are hoping to pick up one or two offensive powers in Free Agency as a short term fix, but are banking on our four 1st round picks in next years draft to bring in some talent that we will develop through our system.
Reporter: thanks for this jbaker, look forward to talking again soon
jbaker: thanks me too
