The Nashville Predators are really excited about the draft, going into the 2013 draft the Preds are hoping for 3 high 1st round draft picks with Bostons, New Jerseys and Tampa Bays. It's around the 15-20 games mark for the teams in this campaign and so far the Preds have the 4th overall pick, the 7th overall pick and the 13th overall pick which is something to be very excited about . The preds are really considering moving 1 of these 1st + to upgrade in some key positions which would help the team. The most recent trade acquiring a 1st was a transaction with the Lightning that brought TB'S 1st,3rd,4th,5th,sens 2nd(all this year picks) and moore to Nashville for Latendresse. "I feel this trade really helps us for the near future" said Barry Trotz. The preds feel good about their draft position so far in the season and hopefully the draft picks will even improve. The Predators are 8-8-0 to start off the season and really are hoping to improve. "We just have not been playing are best hockey so far" said Russian forward Pavel Datsyuk. The preds are excited for the draft but they are more concerned about playing better hockey down the stretch and making the playoffs. " We just aren't performing to our level" said forward Paul Gaustad.
The Nashville Predators will be hoping to forget the start of this season when they face the Stanley cup champion the Washington Capitals.
"Their a awesome team and you know their gonna be coming at you and if you make 1 mistake they will capitalize" said Nashville sniper Jeff Skinner.
One thing is for sure that this team is a determined to make the playoffs and is really looking forward to the draft
"Hopefully we can perform better down the stretch" said Andrei Markov
This team has high expectations and hopefully they can live them up. We know Nashville is going to have a exciting draft but can they make the post season? GM Colton believes and hopes they can play the way they did in the past. GO PREDS GO
