Dallas will pick first overall in the draft, but they did not win the lotto! Who moved up? 6th (from ) 7th (from ) 8th (from ) So far no movement yet! The chance of a team below 22nd overall in the standings winning the lotto is below 7%!

oh.. the kessel trade? I thought it was pretty fair.. both knight and hamilton are looking like lackluster prospects so its pretty much kessel for seguin, seguin looks to have a bright future but im content with having a guy who has scored 30 goals every year for the past 3 . And then of course we traded Kaberle to Boston for Colbourne, Biggs, and Liles (2nd round pick we traded to colorado).

From what I've read, everyone has said they are brutal but whatever, Kessel/Colbourne/Liles/Biggs > Kaberle, Seguin, Knight, Hamilton

LOL...everyone on the leafs board...meanwhile, everyone in the real world knows that Seguin has star potential, Dougie Hamilton is a 6'4" two way defender that will be first pairing, and Knight is a hard nosed forward who is built like a work mule and has a soft touch around the net.
Dougie Hamilton was on everyone's draft board at 5th. You should be familier with HF's rating system, Dougie's an 8.5C, and Knight is a 7.0B
for comparison, Joe Colborne is a 7.5C, and Biggs is a 7.0C(which means he's less likely to reach his potential than Knight)
So...a franchise forward, a first line defender with franchise potential, and a hard griding 2nd liner for a soft streaky winger, a soft center who can't use his size, a defender that was healthy scratched last week and hasn't been above a +5 his entire career, and Tyler Biggs, who may not reach his 2/3rd line potential(and rightfully so, other than his goal against Canada, he hasn't done a thing impressive.)
Oh...and that big shiny stanley cup thing.
Keep drinking the blue kool-aid.

Amusing how you have zero background on any of these prospects, yet assume the leafs players are better because they're leafs.
pretty typical.
Next you'll be proposing every single star player to Toronto just like the rest of them. I guess eventually if everyone around you tells you the sky is green, you'll believe it.
Let me know when Kessel gets you out of the bottom 10.

Doesn't really matter, Boston won the cup and had the first overall pick. They clearly won

2nd and 9th but who's counting. sure those picks wouldn't have helped the maple leafs rebuild as much as Phil Kessel has helped the team jump through the standings

then they wouldn't have Krejci...and definitely not Horton...
and we'd still be stuck with the soft floating winger that is absent for many stretches of time.
