Eastern Conference
1.Washington Capitals
2.Philadelphia Flyers
3.Toronto Maple Leafs
4.Carolina Hurricanes
5.Pittsburgh Penguins
6.Tampa Bay Lightning
7.Buffalo Sabres
8.New York Rangers
- Don't think there will be too much movement in the East, big movers are going to be the Pens who i feel are gonna drop from currently 3rd to 5th more so because I feel the Canes and Leafs are gonna go on some good streaks to finish the season and not because the Pens are a weak team. The Caps are just so strong so they're gonna come in at 1st seed in the East. Toronto picking up Martin St.louis is gonna give them 2 power lines and even though Philly has one game on them, I feel they'll play their fellow Northeast division Sabres. Confident these will be the 8 teams in the playoffs as I don't think the Jets quite have enough to get those 6 points needed to catch the rangers.
Western Conference
1.Los Angeles Kings (President's Trophy)
2.Vancouver Canucks
3.Detroit Red Wings
4.Calgary Flames
5.St. Louis Blues
6.Chicago Blackhawks
7.Nashville Predators
8.San Jose Sharks
- The West is a little trickier to predict I think. LA is gonna take the top spot benefiting from a weak division. Detroit is gonna take their division over the Blues I feel because of their expeirience over the younger St.Louis team, but that division is the closest in the whole league so i wouldn't be surprised if i was wrong. Calgary will take the 4th over St.louis because of their older expeirenced players and due to their division being weaker than the tough Central Division, so its gonna be harder for St.Louis to gain ground. Chicago and Nashville are clear to make the playoffs I feel, with the Preds playing Vancouver in the first round with a division battle between Chi-town and Detroit. Choosing chicago to finish above Nashville as knowing Colton, he'll make atleast 5 trades by the deadline haha and I feel Chicago has a great core that probably won't move. The Sharks are my pick to squeak into the 8th spot over Dallas, moving Benn and Kadri and gaining an injured Tavares i feel isn't gonna get the Stars into the Playoffs this year, and the Sharks shake up moving Thornton i feel is gonna benefit them to get into the 8th spot.
Respond with your predictions, or just say what ones I have wrong ;D
