Well I was thinking of how to spice up the draft...and though of an idea that will make the draft more interesting, help the lower teams get better faster, make the lottery more fun for rebuilding teams and make the top pick(s) worth even more.
Adding "legends" to the draft....now, they wont be guys like Gretzky/Orr/Lemeuix etc...but guys a tier below like Mats Sundin/Kirk McLean/Mark Messier/Dominik Hasek/Steve Yzerman/Joe Sakic etc.
Now this is just an idea and I would like your guys opinion on it..we can do 1 per draft to make the top pick worth a lot..or 2 or 3. No more than 3.
Feel free to post your opinions/thoughts also

I like this idea. If we dont have a lot of information on a draft class why not have names we know and recognize? Id prefer to have Sundin or Yzerman on my team rather than "Joe Williams".

more realistic with no names tho... u can still make good players without unrealistic returnees. just my feeling, not like im gonna be doing any drafting anyways

Other than that, I really like this idea.

I don't want returning players exactly.
But why not have players wtih the same last names as legends, like their sons or something?

not a bad idea, but im not a fan of things that make it unrealistic.
no name draftees are fine as long as we get real in depth scouting reports, player comparisons and stuff like that.

I agree with HF. Just more scouting reports and such. Hype up the no name guys and make them unique. If you started with teasers now on these no name guys, they'll still generate the interest.

no thanks to the legends. Like hf said, just in depth scouting will certainly make the draft exciting enough...especially for us rebuilders
